2021 ethnic fest

It’s Time for Ethnic Fest!

Summer may be winding down, but Ethnic Fest is just around the corner!

Join us for this three-stage event featuring music, events, fun and of course food, on Sept. 11! Start your day with our Ethnic Fest breakfast opener and Walker Food Shelf fundraiser at 8 a.m., at St. Agnes Church in Walker.

Of course, we understand the reverence of this date, so please join us for a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. on the Cass County Courthouse lawn in Walker. Then join us for the parade on Main Street at 11 a.m.

Throughout the day you’ll be able to find all sorts of other activities. You can sample multiple food vendors on the courthouse lawn, and enjoy Kids Konnection from noon to 1 p.m. there. You may find Edelweiss Alphorn Duo at First National Bank North, or Wesley May painting throughout the day! In addition to the courthouse food vendors, craft vendors, including the Anishinaabe Artists Market, will also be located on Fifth Street.

You can also find Acoustofiddle both on the courthouse lawn as well as onstage! On both Friday and Saturday, you can also find Patsy Cline performing at the Walker Bay Theatre!

In addition, plenty of fun entertainment will be found across our three-stage event! Here’s the details:

You can find so much of our heritage all around anytime, but come to the Leech Lake area Sept. 11 to truly celebrate and enjoy it with us! We can’t wait to see you!
