A moment in time: Sugar Point & Battle Point

The battle took place on October 5, 1898 across Leech Lake at Sugar Point and Battle Point between the Ojibwe and US soldiers and went down in history as the last Indian War in the US.  For a true accounting of the battle, visit the Cass County Museum.
