Meet our new Leech Lake Chamber Board Member – Michele Irhke – City Sanitary Service
Hello, my name is Michele Ihrke. I grew up in Walker and graduated from Walker-Hackensack High School. My parents moved our family here and bought Shores of Leech Lake Campground and Marina where I grew up working, swimming, and mingling with customers. I fell in love with the Walker area at a young age and I knew this is where I wanted to have a family and raise my kids.
My husband, Dan, and I own the local garbage service in Walker, City Sanitary Service. City Sanitary Service has been in the Ihrke family for 40 years. My favorite past time events are running, walking, hiking, and hanging out with my kids, family and our 7 grandchildren.
Dan and I served on the Board of the Leech Lake Riders for over 10 years. I knew I still wanted to be more involved in the Walker Community and reached out to the Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to helping our community grow and prosper.
