Legion Haunted House – Letter to the Editor
The Walker Legion hosted their annual Free Haunted House on Halloween. In the four hours it was open over 500 brave souls ventured into the basement of the Legion and were either terrified or delighted.
There were two paths to follow, one was scary and the other not scary. All of this would not be possible without the many volunteers who construct, tear down, scare, hand out and bag candy. The candy was provided by the Walker Legion Post and bagged up and handed out by the Walker Legion Auxiliary. We had three WHA High School students volunteer to assist us in scaring our guest. I’d like to thank the volunteers who helped make this event a huge success. In no particular order: Mona, Mustafa, Rick & Mary (setup), Murry (carpenter), Brenda & Deb (candy/crowd control) and Logan (Jake), Devin & Logan (scarers). Once again thanks to everyone who put in the long hours to make this happen.
