Leech Lake Regatta 51 to Sail on Walker Bay
A regatta is a beautiful spectator event. Beginning Saturday, August 13 through Monday August 15 is the 51st annual sailing of the Leech Lake Regatta (LLR).
The boats will race all three days on Walker Bay. City Dock and the City Park are ideal locations to view the sailboat races. Racing typically begins each day at 10am, depending on wind conditions, the races usually continue through mid-afternoon.
Boats and crews come from all over Minnesota and adjacent states. The regatta is organized by a volunteer committee of the Shores of Leech Lake Yacht Club.
