Fishing Report for May 4, 2018

Some of the Shallower portions of Leech lake are now ice free. With Wind, the main lake should be out before opener. Even if there is some ice remaining, there ill be plenty of fishable waters on Leech Lake. Kabekona bay, Steamboat bay and much of the walker narrows areas are currently ice free or close to. Crappies are staging outside of shallow spawning areas and will push up shallow towards dark on warm days in and around Shingabee bay. Look for perch to be in shallow weed cover as they start to spawn.
