Fishing Report for February 12, 2018
Leasure Outdoor Adventure
Fishing has slowed on Leech Lake the past week as temperatures have bottomed out for most of the week. Limited reports of a few walleyes have been reported from the Sucker Bay area and shoreline breaks along Cedar Point in 15-25 ft of water. A few perch are being found in the Sand Point and Steamboat Bay areas in 6-10ft.
A few smaller lakes in the area are producing panfish occasionally during the morning and evening hours. Small tungsten jigs or jigging spoons tipped with a waxworm or plastic have been best producers. Look for these fish to be close to the main basin as they start staging up before their spring transition to shallower water.
