A Moment in Time

What business was located at the Village Square site?

Built in 1896, the Pameda/Patrick Henry Hotel was one of the first hotels built in Walker.  J.R. Fuller opened the DX Service Station in 1933.  Orville Ellis purchased the building in 1945 and opened the Texaco Service station.  His son Newell opened the Village Square restaurant, which is still in operation with a different owner.

The Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the Cass County Museum will present “A Moment in Time” each week. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, please give us a call at 218-547-1313 and we will be happy to give you some more information!
