This year the “Great Gift Card Giveaway” was a roaring success. We had 32 local businesses participating this year. With each $10 purchase, you received 1 RED ticket. We have 6 packages of gift cards ranging from $1000 to $320. We have drawn names for the winners and by the time you read this article all prizes will have been awarded. Those who held the winning numbers were:

$320 package – Vivian Dellwo

Congratulations to all of you. The best part of winning is that the prize is local gift cards – so the shopping local continues to roll.
This year the promotion ran for approximately 30 days and over 188,000 tickets were given out. The grand total of money spent locally just at the stores offering red tickets is over $1, 880,000! Way to go Walker on shopping local. The Leech Lake Chamber of Commerce would like to thank you for shopping smart and shopping local! The chamber ran a facebook contest asking how much money was sold at participating businesses during the promotion and the winner of $50 in chamber bucks is Lisa Bergsgaard with a guess of $1,834,330. Congratulations.
Businesses participating were: Super One Food, Wilkening Fireplaces, Lakeside Fireplace and Stove, Christmas Point Wild Rice Company, Lucky Moose Bar and Grill, Walker Home Center, Heritage Arts, Gifts and Antiques, Café Zona Rosa, Reeds Outdoor Outfitters, YMart/Y Bait BP, Frizzells Furniture Gallery, Chase on the Lake, Northern Exposure, Thrifty White Pharmacy, Jenny & Company Walker., Walker Ford, Tiger Lilly’s Boutique, Art and Antique Mall of Walker, TJ’s Floral, Walker General Store, Lundrigans Clothing, Walk Her Way, Nistler Floor Covering, Orton’s Downtown BP, Bayside Bar and Grill, Dancing Fire Restaurant, Lake Country RV, Lakes Area Powersports, Little Star Snack Shop, North Star Buffett, Tagged by Brea Boutique
The numbers were posted on our home page as well as in the local newspaper, facebook, twitter and newsletter. All packages were wonderful and the winners were thrilled with the outcomes.
We did have to redraw number for one package, we also posted those on our website this morning and it was almost immediately claimed.
The drawing will be on January 11, just check back.
we never received the 2018 ticket results…we have tickets from dining at Zona Rosa, how do we get the results ?

Hi ,we are disappointed with this years walkers great card give away. A few weeks back we shopped at Christmas Point and gotten tickets from them . They told us about the event coming to hang on to the tickets. They said the drawing would be held on Sunday Jan 20th. They wrote it nice and clear on the back of our tickets. The ones that came from them thinking you would be drawing the winners sun jan 20th. I just read in other replys that the drawing was done Jan 11th! What’s going on here! Were we misled by that store? ! My husband and I were visiting the town to do a little shopping for Christmas and grocery shopping at super one foods and also got tickets from them but they never wrote the date of when it would be drawn. We just assumed those same tickets would have been drawn on the 20th as well! I’m very disappointed we were excited to be waiting for this opportunity.

I just found this in our junk, I just did give you a call. This promotion is not a chamber event, but a Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, we are only the local contacts for this. However the numbers were drawn on the 11th and those numbers are all still in play. The numbers will not change until the 28th of January so go ahead and check your numbers and give me a call if you have a match.

The 2018/2019 numbers are no longer posted. I checked on January 11th and according to the site, new numbers would be drawn on January 28th if prizes were not claimed. Is there anything on the site that shows that all prizes have been claimed?
