The WaterShed joins the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce

Hi, we are Nick & Victoria Wood and Karl Lemke – the new owners of The WaterShed! We’re excited to have joined the Walker food scene and to be part of the beautiful city. A little bit about us: We purchase our first restaurant, The WoodShed, in March of 2021. We’ve had success there and knew quickly that we’d like to expand our culinary reach.

Nick has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over 25 years in several states, including Maine, Colorado and Texas. Not one to sit still too long, he’s always had a passion for creating exciting, delicious food and a fun environment for anyone near him.

Victoria also has a bit of a restaurant background, including some time as a server at The Outdoorsman here in Walker. Her real talents lie in the marketing side of things, so you’re more likely to catch her snagging a photo of a burger than making it!

Karl grew up in Laporte with his parents, who owned the grocery store downtown. He has become successful in the oil industry and has found passion and excitement now in the restaurant industry.
