Pickleball come to Walker City Park

In 2014 Walker City Park Board together with Frizzell  Winter Associates created the 2014 Master Park Plan. We had pickleball courts on our wish list.

The project was very expensive so we waited for funds to come available.  Requests kept coming in for courts in the park. In December of 2018 Dave Cochran called and wanted to donate the entire project.  Dave said that the community was so good to him that this was one way he wanted to give back. Had a master planner Merlin  Dressler help with how he could provide  top notch Pickleball courts to City Park. Jeff Hagen has helped with grass planting so it will look complete. Dave, Jeff and Merlin have put in hours of volunteer time on this project.

Our Local Pickleball  Club is the

Lake Country Picklers.

We are going to work together to get lessons for people who are interested in learning.
