Member of the week: Leech Lake Arts League

The Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce presents Leech Lake Arts League as the Member of The Week! Each week a new business will be featured as a “thank you” for being a part of our membership. Leech Lake Arts League started March 10th 1963, a group of art enthusiasts met at a home and decided to organized an art study club with purpose to assist each other in nurturing their interest, enthusiasm and creativity in the arts. They called their group, ”The Walker Art Club”.
Over the past 50 years the group has continued to meet each Thursday. The basement of the Walker American Legion Post has served as host to the Leach Lake Arts League for the past few years.
