Member of the week: Charlie’s Up North

The Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce presents Charlie’s Up North as the Member of The Week! Each week a new business will be featured as a “thank you” for being a part of our membership. Charlie’s Up North is owned and operated by Charlie & Deb Thompson, lifetime residents of the Walker area.  The restaurant was bought in 2001.  Charlie built the boathouse Bar & Grill in 2002 and it was up and running in 2003.  Everybody loves to visit the boat bar, sitting outside enjoying the great up North weather, visiting with friends and family, and on occasion singing and dancing on the ironwood dance floor.
