The Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation is taking part in the first annual Leech Lake Frost Fest. This new “Leave No Trace” on-ice party is February 10 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. LLAWF is co-sponsoring this event with Portage Brewing Company, Piggy’s BBQ, Tianna Country Club, Green Scene Market, Reeds Sporting Goods, Trappers Landing Lodge and Upstream Homebrewer’s Club plus a number of local sponsors – stop by to see who!
Located on Walker Bay in front of Walker City Park, the day will include snow golf, live music by Corey Medina, and kids games! In addition, Piggy’s BBQ is providing a variety of food options throughout the day served with Portage Beer and homebrew tasting and competition.

Visit LLAWF’s booth inside the main tent to choose raffle items – including an ORCA cooler and Moondance tickets! 10% of the overall proceeds will be donated to LLAWF, as well as raffle revenue.
Reeds Sporting Goods has partnered with LLAWF on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 9-11) with “Donate for Conseration”. Anyone shopping at Reeds has the opportunity to be drawn for the ORCA cooler by adding at least one dollar to their purchase.
The Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation (LLAWF) has been working in the Lakeland area for over twenty years, partnering with conservation-minded lakeshore owners, a number of Lake Associations and multiple government agencies to preserve our natural resources.
The Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation is a non-profit regional land conservation organization dedicated to preserving and protecting lakes, streams and rivers, healthy forests and vital fish and wildlife habitats all over North Central Minnesota for the enjoyment of future generations. Since 2012, LLAWF has helped to protect 1,008 acres and 30,699 feet of shoreline – that’s nearly 6 miles!
