Fishing Report for week of June 21, 2021

SUMMER BREEZE
Walleye-The bite keeps getting better & better as fish set up in summer patterns. Right now fish can be caught multiple ways. Jig/plastics or minnows, jigraps, lindy rigs, under floats, and trolling. The key is to find active fish, stay on the move until you find them. Leeches and crawlers have been our best bet for walleye worked with lindy rigs in 12-16ft along weed lines.
Panfish/Crappies- Both these fish are relating to deep weeds off the first break. Small jigs worked with plastics in the cabbage.
Bass-Largemouth Bass are holding close to weedlines and seem to move up into the pads at low light. Working baits through the weeds has been effective. Smallies are still holding close to rock structure. Top water baits worked at low light over rocky areas will get action.

Many tools in the tool box is the key to fishing leech right now for walleyes. Spinners on the main lake rocks, 10-14 feet, have produced fish in the last week. These same fish, if they don’t chase spinners, can be caught with slip bobbers and leeches. Walker bay is kicking out fish in 14-18 feet with rigs or slip bobbers. Muskie fishing is beginning to heat as well and will only continue to improve. Muskie trollers have put some fish in the net and look for the reed bite to pick up soon!
