Fishing Report for Sept 30, 2019
Leech lake is starting to heat up despite the cool fall like temps. Water temps are hovering near the 60 degree mark on the main lake and just a bit warmer in Walker bay. Look to your traditional fall spots such as Big Hardwoods, Duck and Ottertail Point for walleyes right now in 6 to 10ft of water. Bear Island, Battle and Grassy have been a safe bet as well and will only continue to get better as we get into October. Perch fishing has been great in the Cedar Point, Sand Point and Shingobee Island area. Musky reports continue to come in with fish each day reported from the last remaining green weeds and pencil red patches all over the lake and the bay.
