The water temps have dropped this past week and are now in the upper 60’s. This has triggered a good crank bait bite for the first time this summer. Walleyes are actively feeding in 9-11 ft of water in the main lake. We are getting walleyes anytime but definitely more during the major and minor feeding windows. The perch bite is just starting with good numbers and some true jumbos in the 12-13 inch range. The walleyes should be moving back to their spring time spots with a jig and minnow presentation soon. Enjoy the fall colors and some great fall fishing the next few weeks.
