Bitterly cold temps at the beginning of the week eventually gave way to highs in the 20s and 30s towards the weeks end. Even with the cold, we had renters reporting a very good perch bite throughout the mid morning and early afternoon hours. Currently, we still have plowed ice roads to Goose Island, the Snake Pits, Little Hardwoods, West Goose Flats, Grand View Flats, Stoney Point and the west side of the Paris Trench.

Fishing reports from in the Pine Point area still remain strong for those targeting Perch. We are still focusing our houses on areas of sand grass to sand transition areas in 11-14 ft of water. A few reports of deeper water bites have been reported as well in the 15-20 foot range.  Walleye reports are limited with those catching are coming in the early morning or overnight hours.  Anglers who were most successful with numbers were using gold or silver jigging spoons during the day, with something of UV or glow colors during the low light periods.

Walker Bay ice conditions now seem pretty stable with ice conditions in the 12-16 inch range in most areas. Sand Point and Cedar Point have still been the best producing areas for walleyes and perch on shoreline breaks in 14-18ft or on the secondary breaks of 24-28ft. Green and Orange glow jigs are your best bet with a rainbow or shiner minnow.
