Fishing Report for August 9th, 2021

Fishing Report- Swanson’s Bait & Tackle

Panfish/Crappie- Look for these fish close to or up in the weeds. Depth vary on different lakes, but find the weeds find the fish. Jigs with plastics, live bait are both effective.

Walleye- Look for the fish to be moving back off the weed breaks. 16ft on Leech is a good depth to start at. Rig crawlers along the breaks and use your electronics to find fish.

Bass- LMB are still relating to, in or around weeds. Cast wacky rigs to locate active fish. SMB are holding on deeper rock humps. Drop shot rigs are great options for these fish.

Muskies- Check your leaders…… topwater baits early in the morning or late into the night have been putting big fish in the boat. Smaller bladed (even as small as #5 colorado blades) bucktails during the day have been getting better results.
