Fishing Report- Swansons Bait & Tackle
Brought to us by Fish On Outdoors with Bill Hornung
Water levels on area lakes are still high, some lakes are very dirty and floating weeds make them difficult to fish. Water temps on most area lakes are in the lower 70’s. Look for fishing to improve as lake temps cool and water clarity improves.
Walleye- Fishing has been spotty, 16-25ft are the best depths to start in. Pulling Lindy rigs with minnows/crawlers and using jig raps are good options as fish seem to be scattered along flats.
Panfish- These fish should start move into fall patterns as the water cools. Start looking for the perch in shallow weed flats.
Muskies- With the full moon this week fish should be more active and you should have a chance for multiple fish. Try to take advantage of the early mornings and later evenings and pay close attention to your moon phases for good “Windows” to get bit.
Wind blown rocks and weed edges are good places to start.
Good Luck!
