The Spring Bike Fling | Ride to Hack & Back is an annual kickoff to summer in the Leech Lake Area, held every year on the second Saturday in June. This fun, community-focused ride starts in Walker and takes cyclists on a scenic route to Hackensack, welcoming both pedal and e-bike riders of all levels to experience the beauty of the area and the spirit of life Up North.
The day begins at Walker City Park at 10:00 AM, with riders heading out toward Hackensack for a Pit Stop Party at Rendezvous Brewing, featuring live music and a kid parade. After enjoying the festivities, riders make their way back to Walker where the celebration continues with an After Party at Portage Brewing Company. With great stops, local flavor, and a welcoming atmosphere, the Spring Bike Fling is the perfect way to kick off summer in the Leech Lake area.
