A Silent Book Club (SBC) is a social gathering where people read in silence together:
– No assigned reading. Members can read whatever they want, including ebooks, audiobooks (with headphones), poetry, prose, graphic novels, fiction, or non-fiction.
– No pressure: There are no mandatory reading selections or discussions.
– Meet new people: SBCs are a great place to socialize and meet other book lovers.
– Trade recommendations: Members can chat about books before, after, or during the reading time.
It?s different from traditional book clubs because it?s focused on creating a social space for reading without the pressure of finishing a selection or contributing to a conversation.
