City Sanitary Celebrates 20 years with the Chamber
City Sanitary Service is celebrating 39 years in the garbage service.
Ken and Kathy Ihrke and their family moved to Walker, MN in the Spring of 1984 and purchased the local garbage service from Tom and Lynn LeMay.
City Sanitary Service continues to be a family owned and operated business with son, Dan and his wife, Michele, purchasing it from his parents in 2001. In 2005, Dan and Michele purchased LaValle Sanitation and expanded their territory into Longville, MN.
Family members Dan and Michele Ihrke, Chad Ihrke, Leah Haugen, Taylor Ihrke, Christy Ihrke, Danny Kako and employee and friend, Jason Perkins, continue to work hard to keep their community clean and provide excellent service.
City Sanitary Service offers Commercial and Residential garbage service to the following areas: Walker, Hackensack, Backus, Akeley, Nevis, Longville, Laporte, Lake George, Guthrie, and the Benedict areas.
