Walker Triathlon – Sunday, June 9th
Strive for your personal best and enjoy the beautiful and rejuvenating Leech Lake area at the Walker Triathlon (formerly Chase the Police Triathlon), hosted by the Walker Area Community Center (WACC). The natural setting of the Leech Lake/Northwoods area is perfect for a triathlon. Most of the running and biking portions of the race will take place on the paved Heartland Trail, which runs along lake shores and through National Forest lands. This is a SPRINT triathlon with course lengths of .25 mile swim, 17-mile bike, 3.1-mile run.

Walker Bay Live – Thursday, June 13th
Walker Bay live is a weekly family-friendly event that includes live music, local arts & crafts, delicious food, refreshing brews, and more! Each week’s event is hosted at a different venue around Walker, and features a new musical guest! Walker Bay Live kicks off on June 13th and runs through September 5th. The first Walker Bay Live of 2019 will be helped at the City Park Playground and features musical guest Blue English, an Americana band that incorporates your favorite classic rock covers.

13th Annual Moondance Jammin’ Country Fest – June 20th – 22nd (Thursday – Saturday)
Featuring artists such as Kane Brown, Neal McCoy, Brothers Osborne, Jordan Davis, Runaway Jane, Aaron Watson, BlackHawk, and Chris Hawkey, the Moondance Jammin’ Country Fest is a country music lover’s dream! The festival campgrounds include 24-hour security, on-site showers, ice, firewood, and freshwater, and reserved campgrounds are available! Love country music, but not up for camping? No problem! Many local lodging venues, including the Northern Lights Casino & Hotel, offer convenient lodging options nearby.
