Celebrating 20 years – 513 at Mainstream
The 513 @ Mainstream will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this summer. Sue and Kent Fladeboe both have a background in fashion merchandising and have brought their knowledge with them to the local store.
Sue & Kent are both educated in fashion merchandising. Kent was also a Women’s Wholesale representative. Their backgrounds along with Sue’s intense passion for fashion have made this store a must stop shop when visiting Walker.
In October of 1999 when the Ace Hardware Store moved out of town, Sue said, “that’s it, I want my own boutique.” Plans began quickly with Kent hand building the store which become the boutique. It then grew to a full-blown clothing store for fashion minded customers including a men’s department and a footwear section. A few years ago, they made the final leap, which including buying the building parking Lot and a rental house.
Here we stand, 20 years later feeling humbled and proud. From the ground up, the 513 @ Mainstream in downtown Walker still treats all customers with highest integrity! This store is one of the few with the owners- hands on.
“Thank you, Walker, for the “Rush” – My dream is complete.”
What’s next? Watch for our 20th Anniversary celebration in August. We are thankful “our hearts are filled with gratitude.”
