Our recent cold weather spell slowed the bite a bit overall throughout the week but improved our ice conditions.  Currently we have anywhere from 7-14 inches of ice out of Andersons Pine Point Resort.  In most areas, a solid 11-13 can be found but in areas where there was open water 2 weeks ago is where you can find 7-8 hidden under what little snowdrifts we have.  This area runs approximately 500 yds wide south of Goose Island running on a line to the tip of Pine Point. Reports coming from Traders Bay, Stoney Point and the Whipholt area are reporting a bit better ice conditions in the 12-15 inch range.  Walker Bay ice reports still range from 6-11 inches so only atv and side by side traffic is advised at this time.

As for the bite, best reports came from dead sticks in 13-15 ft of water in the Grand Vu flats area.  It seems as getting off the edge of structure outproduced fishing the tops of structure in shallower water.  Set lines with a single plain hook and a fathead or rainbow minnow was best this week for perch and walleyes.  Tip ups with a medium sucker minnow produced all week for customers targeting Pike with a few fish being caught in the 30″ range.  Walker Bay reports are starting to come in but still limited at this time with a few Walleyes being reported in the Cedar Point area in 18-24 feet.

We still have availability for sleepers and day houses for the upcoming weekend.  Give us a call or send us a message to book during the upcoming nice weather.
